Deville Colour captures daily life through hand-drawn watercolour, placing the natural creatures and subtle details of the real world into an illustrated encyclopedia that rests between reality and dreamscape.

From oceanic whales and comforting animals to goofy capybaras, playful dinosaurs, and iridescent starry skies—every creation stems from mindful observation of real-world details. Through delicate brushstrokes infused with colour and imagination, unique characters with their own stories come to life, allowing your personal encyclopedia of the world to evolve year after year.

Deville Colour offers a variety of watercolour stationery, including multi-material sticker sheets, decorative tapes, notebooks, and art prints—all thoughtfully designed to balance aesthetic beauty with practical daily use, providing a seamless and joyful user experience. We hope to decorate your everyday life through journaling and stationery—using colour to spark a gentle conversation with the world.

About the Artist

Deville Dewil, Hong Kong multidisciplinary artist, educator, founder of watercolour illustration stationery brand Deville Colour, part-time lecturer at Hong Kong Design Institute and HKU SPACE.

After graduated with first class honour in her Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology, she further obtained the Master of Arts in Visual Arts in the Hong Kong Baptist University.

She loves using colours to depict various small objects surrounding her life, as if crafting her own encyclopaedia. Her dreamy yet realistic painting style captures the delicate essence of reality.

During 2022-2024, she wandered across Northern Europe to carry out a collection of independent art projects; in 2023 and 2025, she was also invited to the Artist in Residency in Björkö Konstnod, Sweden and Jingdezhen, China respectively. 

She had published a number of award-winning picture books, including “Whale Does It Belong”, “Capybara’s Dream”, Fox in The Forest”, “52 Hertz Whale”, “Mr. Kaczka”. She was also nominated as Hong Kong 2nd “Go! Illustrators” featured picture book artist and invited to showcase her works and share her experience in the Italy Bologna, China Beijing and Shanghai Book Fairs. 

She was invited and collaborated with various international brands, public and private organizations, and non-profit organizations on customized commercial illustrations and licensing, as hosting talks and workshops. Partners include CASETiFY, MOLESKINE, BARBOSA, HKMC, Cheer Lutheran Centre, Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service, YMCA, Hong Kong Culture Festival, and Eslite Bookstore, and more.
